Practicalities and FAQ
Client agreement
At your first appointment, your therapist will briefly explain our terms and conditions of the way we work. Our aim is that all clients feel fully informed about the practical side of coming for therapy, and we provide you with a clear and concise guide to what's involved.
Fees
Fees charged vary from £100 to £150 depending on length of session (e.g. standard session, specialist assessment, consultation, supervision, couples or family work).
Payment can be made either at the end of the session with a cheque, by bank transfer, or with cash if necessary.
Health Insurance
A number of our therapists are registered with major health insurance companies. If you intend to use insurance to cover your sessions, please mention this at the time of booking.
These are some of the insurance providers our therapists are registered with:
BUPA, Pru Health, AXA PPP, Aviva, Cigna, Vitality Health, WPA
If your provider is not listed here, it may be possible for your therapist to register with them. Please mention this at the time of booking.
Making contact and what to expect
To contact a specific clinician you can use their direct email or mobile number
or:
Your chosen therapist will aim to contact you on the next working day following your enquiry, whether this is by phone or email. Typically we will ask you a few practical questions about your broad area of concern (though there is no need to go into any detail at this stage). A day and time for your first appointment will be arranged and an email confirmation sent through. You may be asked to complete some standardised questionnaires and return these before your assessment appointment.
Finally we will agree a day and time for your first appointment and we will send an email confirmation that includes a link to our location maps and some helpful directions. You may be asked to complete some standardised questionnaires and return these to us before your assessment appointment.
It is important to emphasise that your first session is largely exploratory, a gradual getting-to-know-you in order for you to feel more comfortable both with your therapist and with the process and aims of the therapy itself.
There is absolutely no commitment to a second or third session, and at this or any other time you are always free to decide that therapy isn't for you after all.
Individual therapy sessions are typically scheduled for 50 minutes.
