Rhona Edwards
Rhona Edwards is a BABCP-accredited cognitive behavioural therapist with extensive experience supporting children, teenagers, and their families. She is also a registered social worker with Social Work England, combining therapeutic expertise with a deep understanding of the challenges families face in everyday life.
Rhona has been working with children and young people for over a decade, helping them build confidence, manage anxiety, and find practical ways to navigate life’s challenges. She understands that seeking help can sometimes feel daunting, which is why she creates a welcoming and engaging environment where young people feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings.
Rhona is passionate about working collaboratively with families. She believes that involving parents is key to creating lasting change, and she provides them with practical tools and insights to better support their child.
Whether it’s overcoming anxiety, handling big emotions, or improving self-esteem, Rhona tailors her approach to meet each young person’s unique needs.
With her warm, approachable style and a strong foundation in evidence-based CBT techniques, Rhona makes therapy relatable and effective. Her experience within the NHS and children’s services means she understands the complexities young people and their families can face and works hard to support them in finding a way forward.
Outside of her professional life, Rhona loves cooking (though baking is a work in progress!), spending time with her family, and learning new skills. She is dedicated to helping young people thrive.
